It’s not the easiest thing to navigate a pandemic while trying to keep a sports club running – kudos to all our local sports clubs who have done their very best to keep our kids active and involved! We also thank the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula and our amazing arena staff for supporting us through our season! A list of our 2021 sponsors will be coming in the next issue!
Although the Lion’s Head Skate Club looked different last season with our protocols and procedures we had to follow under Provincial & Municipal levels as well as Skate Ontario our Skating Club managed to run a full program.
The Lion’s Head Skate Club is ready for our new season and to welcome all skaters back to the ice beginning September 28th!
Registration is now open!!
To register you need to go online to www.lionsheadskating.com and register your skaters. You will then need to send an E-transfer for the first session to lionsheadskateclub@gmail.com. Please make sure you put your child/children’s name and program in the message. Please register before September 23rd.
Our Skating Club offers a CAN-Skate program with a certified Skate Ontario Coach. Children 3 and up who are learning to skate can use this program which runs every Tuesday from 5-6pm beginning September 28th and running until the end of March 2020.
We have a PRE-Star program for children who fall between the CAN-Skate program and the STAR Skate program as well as our STAR Skate program for our more experienced skaters. IF you don’t know where your child should start out please contact the club through email and we will help you out! PRE-STAR and STAR programs runs 2 nights/week; Tuesdays & Thursdays. There will also be optional ice times on Wednesdays 4-5pm and on some Sundays (TBA). We also offer off-ice training, harness training and private lessons.
