MNBP Receiving 4.9 Million In Funding For Improvements To Lion’s Head Community Centre And Arena

As part of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program Community, Culture and Recreation Stream, Northern Bruce Peninsula is receiving funding for improvements to the Lion’s Head Community Centre and Arena. This is a partnership between the Federal, Provincial and Municipal government which will all contribute towards this $4.9 million project.

This project will improve community access and provide a multi-purpose use facility to encourage healthy lifestyles and improve programming. In particular the project will include; new barrier free dressing rooms, multi-purpose room, library space and washrooms.

“I want to thank the Government of Canada and Province of Ontario for partnering with the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula on this project”, stated Mayor McIver, “This project has been years of planning and it will be great new asset for the community and generations to come.”
