Cape Croker Park was lit up with Christmas lights offering a walk-thru light display. From December 3 to 6, with gates opened nightly from 5 pm to 7 pm, the residents of Neyaashiinigmiing were invited to stroll through the Park and enjoy Christmas lights and Christmas music.

In lieu of the annual Christmas Party hosted by the Band Programs, the community walk-thru was seen as a way to encourage families and individuals to get outside and enjoy some festivities.

On opening night, over 70 Nawash band members came to view the lights; which also included a Nativity scene from the Huron Carol and a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. Santa and Mrs Claus dropped by; attendees were treated to a cup of hot chocolate and were able to warm up next to an open bonfire. On Saturday, there were fireworks with over 90 people attending the event. Sunday night was allocated for the seniors drive-thru.

As with every event this year, the flow of people was controlled and contact information recorded.
