Curling got underway this year with our usual Learn to Curl night on October 21. The First Draw followed on October 28. We had 8 teams in action with a good mix of seasoned and new curlers and men and women of all ages ranging from 82 to 10. The winning team for the first draw was skipped by John Sarnovsky, vice is Rick Sim, 2nd Frank Kibbee, and Lead Waldek Jankowski. Congratulations guys!
We curl on Monday nights from 7-9pm at the Lion’s Head Arena with a short time of instruction and tips prior to going on the ice.
Our first draw is now complete and the second draw will start November 25. We have two more draws starting January 6 and February 3, so if anyone would like to experience the great sport of curling, please call 519-793-3288 for more information.
We also have two Bonspiels coming up in 2020. The first is January 4 and the second is February 8, so get a team together and come out for a full day of curling, great lunch, prizes and lots of fun. The first bonspiel is sponsored by Rona – Miller Lake and the second one is sponsored by CRC General Contracting.
