As previously reported, the Cenotaph Flagpole was in dire need of repair. There was a temporary fix done but unfortunately the harbour winds got the best of this fix. A call went out about the need for a full repair and to the rescue came Pete Dean along with John Oke, Micheal Richards, Dan Welsh, Chris McCoy and with the help of Van Wyck Crane Services the flagpole was removed, rewelded and back up in less than 24 hours! For this the Legion is so grateful to all of you that helped and the town looks better for your hard work. Thank you!
Apologies to Dan Welsh, who has been watering the lawn at the cenotaph all summer, as his name was spelt incorrectly in a previous article. Thank you Dan for all your work.
The Membership Earlybird Campaign is now underway until Nov 30th. The cost until then is $45 to renew, $50 after that date. There are three ways to pay:
-Come into the Branch and see Kandice, cash or cheque.
-E-Transfer from your Bank to donate@tobermorylegion.org
-Renew Online with a credit card. Go to: portal.legion.ca, unfortunately, the price is $50 but allows another convenient way to pay!
When you renew your membership by the early bird deadline, you:
– Keep your account in good standing
– Maintain years of continuous service
– Support our Branch and Programs
– Ensure delivery of the Legion Magazine

– Meat Draws are Saturday, 4 pm all at the Branch.
– Tobermory Bridge Club meets every Monday at 1 pm at the Branch; everyone is welcome!
