Many Legion members have expressed concern regarding the list of the Cenotaph flagpole. We all know the kind of winds that come across the harbour and the flagpole has become a victim of said winds, thus becoming a safety issue, not to mention not very pleasing to the eye. The executive is pleased to report that the flagpole has had a temporary fix to address any safety concerns and a full repair job is scheduled to be done in the fall.

UPCOMING EVENTS
There is a BBQ on Saturday, September 14 at 6 pm following the meat draw. Cost is $12 for a delicious burger, salad and dessert; come for the meat draw, stay for a burger.
Trivia Night is Friday, September 13 at 7 pm.
Darts for fun is every Thursday, 7 pm.
Meat Draws are Saturday, 4 pm all at the Branch.
Ladies Auxiliary Bingo is every Wednesday, 7 pm at the Tobermory Community Centre.
Tobermory Bridge Club meets every Monday at 1 pm at the Branch; everyone is welcome!
The Branch is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 3 pm. Remember that the Branch accepts cash only, there is an ATM on site and bring your Legion membership card and id if you are youthful in appearance on Saturday Entertainment nights. There is a DJ and a $5 cover for non-members.
Please note that the doorman on Saturday nights has not and will not memorize all legion members’ faces, so if you do not have your legion membership card your choice is to either go home and get it or stand in line and pay the cover charge just like everyone else.
