Saturday August 3 was a perfect day for Making Waves! Tobermory’s first annual art, crafts, and music festival made its debut at the Community Park and the grounds of The Meeting Place under clear blue skies – it was a perfect summer day.

Artist Andrea Currie (right) displays her works at the 1st annual Making Waves Festival in Tobermory August 3rd.

Festival goers enjoyed wandering through the artisan’s booths and soaking up the music and the sunshine.

Musicians entertain the crowd at the 1st annual Making Waves Arts & Crafts Festival August 3rd.

Thanks to all the volunteers, vendors, musicians, and of course the festival visitors, who helped to make the first Making Waves a success.

Thanks also to our sponsors for their support: Bruce Anchor Motel and Cruises, BeaverTails, Terry Heffernan, Verna’s, The Sweet Shop, Kay Ransbury, Barry McNinch, and The Tobermory Press.

We hope to see you next year at the second Making Waves Festival!
