Hello end of May with wet and cool temperatures – some warm weather would be great!
Decoration Day will be held on June 7th at 12:30pm. Please meet at the Dunks Bay Cemetery at 12:15. Afterwards, join us at the Legion for a light lunch.
BBQs are BACK! Starting on June 6th, after the meat draw, which starts at 4:00pm, you can get a burger and a bag of chips for $15.00.
Continuing with events: Darts time has changed to 7 pm on Thursdays. As usual, Meat Draw is on Saturdays at 4:00 pm and Euchre is the last Friday of the month at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend. Ladies Auxiliary Bingo is at the Tobermory Community Centre on June 3rd – doors open at 6:30pm with a start time of 7:00pm
The Legion is now open Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 3:00 pm. Stop in and welcome Raelene, our new bartender!
Just a reminder, as I know life can get hectic and we can forget, there is still the opportunity to get a free legion membership, this year only (new members), to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion (actual date is Friday July 17th) – a century of standing with Veterans, strengthening communities and honouring the memory of those who served. Please consider joining, this is your ‘free’ chance. We would love to add more people to this great organization AND to have a few new members at our local branch. Please consider joining and help support veterans and your local legion.
Save your Pop/Beer tabs and deliver them to your local Legion branch. Tabs can help purchase needed items such as chairs, walkers, canes, crutches and commodes. Please take the moment to wiggle the tab and give to a great cause.
