Tobermory Legion Br 290 News: Feels Like Summer

We aren’t officially in the summer season yet but the temperatures sure have been wondrous. One thing we need desperately though is rain, perhaps mother nature will look kindly upon us and send some long lasting gentle showers our way and around the rest of the country to help fight the many forest fires.

As the Dunk’s Bay cemetery was being made ready for Decoration Day, it came to the notice of those doing the work that the metal grave markers which were purchased to mark the gravesites of veterans had begun to deteriorate. The red poppies were losing their paint. Doug Smith has been in contact with the Poppy Store and a resolution is being sought. Please stop calling Doug to complain; no one was more upset than him about this and a solution will be found.

The next Club L is Saturday, June 24 from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. D.J. Max will be spinning the tunes. As always I.D. is needed for entry, no I.D. plan on going home. There is a cover charge of $5 for members; $10 for non-members. Bring your valid Legion membership card with you to pay $5. Hope to see you for a night of dancing.
