Two BPDS students took home top spots in the annual Write @ Your Library creative writing contest. The contest, open to students from grades 7 through 12 across Grey and Bruce Counties, was coordinated by the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library.
Students were invited to submit poems and short stories for a chance to win cash prizes of up to $100 and have their work published in the Write for 2022 anthology.
On December 9th a ceremony was held at the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library. BPDS student Aria Thomas received 1st place in the Junior Short Story category with her story “An Unexpected Interruption”.
Also representing BPDS was Mady Raney, who placed 1st in the Junior Poetry category with her poem “The Children of 2040”.
Congratulations to Aria and Mady!
