On December 3 escorted by the Northern Bruce Peninsula Fire Service, Santa received a boisterous welcome from the students at BPDS. At 2:30 p.m. the students and staff streamed out of the school and gathered outside to greet Santa with many of the little ones inquiring about the whereabouts of Rudolph. Santa brought candy canes for all the kids.

Leaving the school, Santa drove around the Hayes Seniors Complex and waved to residents. Then he headed to the Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home, where he thanked and waved goodbye to his escorts from the Fire Service and entered the Home to greet the residents.
