A Grad Prom party was the theme of the 2026 Peninsula SWANS Fashion Show, held on May 7th at the MNBP arena in Lion’s Head. The Fashion Show Committee Co-chairs, Lianne Timbers-Sharp and Cathy McLay, expressed their appreciation to the greater community for all their support, including those who attended, the models and event sponsors. We extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful local businesses who donated their time and fashions for the evening including The Shops at 84 Main, Verna’s and Classie Casual Boutique.
Many generous donors contributed prizes for the Fashion Show’s very successful silent auction.
Lianne and Cathy recognize all the SWANS volunteers, as well, for their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm, from the planning stages and preparations through to the big day and clean up. The Committee remarked that there is a great satisfaction in seeing the many months of planning come to fruition. It is because of volunteers and supporters like you that we can continue to boost our community, bring smiles to others and raise money while also having fun and looking beautiful!
Every dollar raised through the Peninsula SWANS goes right back into helping people in our community. If you missed the fun this year and would like to attend a future SWANS fashion show fundraiser, mark your calendar for May 6, 2027, the Thursday before Mother’s Day. We hope to see you next year!
