Your local Rotary Club and Christ Church Anglican co-hosted Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at Rotary Hall on the evening of February 17th. It was a successful event with over 70 people coming out (despite the foggy winter weather) for a delicious meal of pancakes with real maple syrup, sausages, apple crisp with ice cream, hot and cold beverages. Net proceeds from this event will be donated to the Lion’s Head & District Food Bank. Thanks to everyone who came out!

Thanks to everyone who came out to Rotary’s first Pub Night at Rotary Hall on a snowy Friday the 13th evening! Close to 40 people showed up to our inaugural Pub Night, including a good number of players from the Lion’s Head Pickleball Club after their games at Bruce Peninsula District School gymnasium that evening! Snacks (flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, potato chips) were available through the evening. Rotary hopes to schedule regular Pub Night events in future – please check out our Club website (https://www.rotarynbp.org/) or our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/RotaryNBP/) for information on upcoming events at Rotary Hall!

Rotary hosted four Sunday Coffee Socials at Rotary Hall throughout the month of February, with approximately 30 visitors attending each event. Our Coffee Socials will continue through the month of March at Rotary Hall, running from 10 AM to 3 PM each Sunday of the month.

On March 8th, your local Rotary Club and Bruce Peninsula Environment Group (BPEG) will co-sponsor ‘Seedy Sunday’ at Rotary Hall, which will include a seed exchange and pop-up sale with local vendors, as part of our Sunday Coffee Social on that day! To participate in the seed exchange, you can bring in your seeds in packed and labelled envelopes to streamline the swap and share with others.

We hope you can join us for one or more of our Sunday Coffee Socials for conversation over hot beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate), along with soups and snacks.

We’re really looking forward to springtime when we can start using the recently-constructed concrete patio outside Rotary Hall, fronting Main Street, Lion’s Head!
