The newly refurbished FAST STOP gas station in Ferndale was officially opened on 21 November 2025, with a ribbon cutting ceremony, with the owners, staff and community members attending.
The construction of the modernized gas station took 48 work days from start to finish. During the construction period, temporary pumps were installed to serve the needs of the community.
Over the past week, the gas station has been open for business as staff and customers get familiarized with the operations of the new equipment.
The Ferndale gas station is now re-branded as a FAST STOP station with Central Ontario FS being the new energy supplier. All staff have been retained and they will continue to offer the same level of quality service to the community.
Five pumps have been installed with two of the pumps being self-serve. The gas station also has a new kiosk and canopy.
Co-owner Phyllis Hayes is pleased with the upgrade and says the construction team and staff members have been great to work with.
