Until October 12th, the Red Schoolhouse Gallery is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
Diana Licskai, one of 12 permanent member artists, has lived in the Northern Bruce Peninsula for over 10 years. Her work in acrylic draws inspiration from tranquil walks along The Bruce Trail, the serene views of Georgian Bay, and the ever-changing beauty of trees and her flower garden. Roadside landscapes and quiet moments in the forest spark her creativity, allowing her to capture peaceful feelings that nature evokes. Her art reflects these soothing, natural vistas and the sense of calm that they inspire.

In Susan Adaskin’s Owen Sound studio, glass fusing has become both her creative outlet and a way to manage stress and anxiety. Much of her inspiration comes from exploring the Bruce Peninsula and its surrounding landscapes. She strives to create pieces that feel realistic and evoke an emotional response. What fascinates her most is the contradiction of glass itself – sharp, fragile, and dangerous – yet able to be transformed by heat into something entirely new. The endless possibilities of light, shape, and colour keep her engaged, while teaching and sharing the art of glass with others brings her joy and fulfillment.
