The Easter Cantata offered patrons the opportunity to reflect on the Passion story through songs and narrative. Music Director David Warder, the choir, and the narrators offered a strong performance, playing to full audiences for the three performances during Holy Week.
For many patrons attending the Good Friday event at Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church, the Easter Cantata has become an annual tradition.
“Phenomenal”, “amazing music”, “great retelling of the Easter story” are some of the words that patrons used to describe the experience.
Ten years ago David Warder assembled a Choir and presented the first Easter Cantata, saying he was not sure how it would work. With some years missed due to events such as the pandemic, the Cantata continues to enjoy full multi-denominational community support.
