Bruce County, Ontario: Bruce County residents are encouraged to safely dispose of household hazardous waste materials as part of their annual home and property clean-up. In support of this effort, Bruce County will host thirteen Household Hazardous Waste Collection events at various locations across the County throughout 2025.
These events provide residents with a convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of common hazardous items, such as: Paints and stains, Propane tanks, Used oil and oil filters, Aerosols and solvents, Batteries and antifreeze, Household cleaners, Fluorescent lights, Fertilizers and pesticides, Fuel and pool chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and fire extinguishers.

2025 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Schedule:
• Lion’s Head – July 5 – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1252 West Road, Eastnor Landfill Site
• Wiarton – July 26 – 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 441048 Elm St., South Bruce Peninsula Works Garage
• Tobermory – August 16 – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 71 McArthur Road, St. Edmunds Landfill Site
• Sauble Beach – August 23 – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 413 Municipal Road, Amabel Works Yard
Commercial, industrial, agricultural waste, PCB materials, ammunition, and flares will NOT be accepted. Only containers 30 litres or smaller will be accepted. Waste must be delivered in disposable containers. Containers will not be emptied and returned (e.g., gas cans will not be returned). Empty metal paint cans are recyclable through your blue box program.
