On Sunday, April 27th, your local Rotary Club will host another Harbourside Inside Open Mic concert from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Rotary Hall, with Rotarians tending bar for the event. These concerts are always fun and entertaining and we hope to see you there!

Public Presentation at Rotary Hall

On Tuesday, March 18th at Rotary Hall, Matthew, our Rotary exchange student from Taiwan gave an interesting public presentation about his life in Taiwan to about 25 people attending. With an accompanying slide show presentation, Matthew spoke about his home country of Taiwan, his sponsoring Rotary Club (Chi-an, Taiwan), his family and school, as well as festivals and tourism sites in Taiwan. Matthew also brought along some Chinese snacks for the audience.

Thanks to everyone who came out to this public presentation to hear about Matthew’s home country of Taiwan! Matthew is now in his second term of Grade 11 at Bruce Peninsula District School, and is just past the half-way point in his year-long exchange experience in Canada.

Sunday Coffee Socials at Rotary Hall

Our final Sunday Coffee Social of this winter season was held on March 30th, and was attended by approximately 30 people, coming out to enjoy hot beverages, delicious snacks and warm conversation with Rotarians and others in the community. This past month, Franken Farms held two successful pop-up seed sales (featuring their 2025 Seed Collection for vegetables and other plant seeds), at the same time as our Coffee Socials on March 9th and 23rd. There were about 40 people attending the March 23rd Coffee Social/Pop-up Sale event, which also overlapped with the Harbourside Inside concert that Sunday afternoon.

Your local Rotary Club introduced Sunday Coffee Socials last winter (early 2024) and hopes to continue with these events (coupled with pop-up sales when practical) next winter season as a way to bring the local community together at our Rotary Hall! Thanks to everyone who came out to our Sunday Coffee Socials this past winter season!
