Bruce Peninsula Minor Hockey Association (BPMHA) is celebrating an exciting milestone as its girls’ hockey program officially takes on a bold new identity: Bruce Peninsula Brave.
With a renewed commitment to growing the sport for young female athletes, the program has introduced fresh jerseys and merch sporting the Brave’s new name and colours. Players proudly donned their new gear for the first time on Saturday, February 1, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter for girls’ hockey in the region.
“The launch of Bruce Peninsula Brave is a significant step in strengthening girls’ hockey on the Peninsula,” said Tom Cunningham, VP of BPMHA. “This program has kickstarted with an outstanding number of female athletes, and it’s growing. We’re excited to see even more players join in the coming seasons.”
BPMHA has confirmed that Bruce Peninsula Brave will continue in future seasons, with the association actively welcoming new players to register next year. As interest in the sport continues to rise, BPMHA remains committed to providing opportunities for young female athletes to develop their skills, compete, and build a strong hockey community.
