The Lion’s Head Santa Claus Parade sponsored by the local Rotary Club  drew out the community to enjoy the annual spectacle of floats, animals and seasonally decked vehicles. Braving the snow and chilly rain, parade goers enjoyed seeing mascots such as Clifford the Big Red Dog and Parka the Parks Canada beaver, mules, horses, ponies and floats sponsored by local associations, clubs and businesses.

Santa arrived from the North Pole for the parade and was joined by his local helper elves Ava and Annabelle as well as Matthew, a Rotary Club exchange student from Taiwan.

After the parade, over 100 children and parents came to the Rotary Hall to meet Santa. The children all received goodie bags from Santa’s elves. The ‘Friends of Lion’s Head Library’ with Clifford the Big Red Dog were also on hand at Rotary Hall to offer a new book to every child.
