The Lion’s Head & District Food Bank has finally received Charitable Status with the Canada Revenue Agency! We are very pleased to finally be permitted to issue receipts for Charitable donations to be used in annual income tax returns.
We are so grateful to those individuals that have supported the food bank prior to us receiving this Charitable designation. Monetary donations help the volunteers to focus on the mission of the food bank (hamper provision) without also having to create fundraising projects.
Food donations are also appreciated. We are able to distribute food items for one year past the Best Before date as long as the integrity of the packaging is intact.
