Congratulations to Rusty Campigotto, RN and Tara Harpur, Nurse Practitioner from the Peninsula Family Health Team, who have both been selected as one of this year’s Caring Nurse Award recipients.

Bayshore Broadcasting’s Healthy Tomorrows proudly presents Caring Nurse Awards annually to nurses in Grey & Bruce who exemplify remarkable medical care, kindness and compassion to patients as they carry out their nursing duties in a hospital, home care, medical clinic or long-term care setting.

For patients who routinely access care at the Peninsula Family Health Team, Tara & Rusty are very familiar faces in the clinic sites.

Now in his 30th year of nursing, Rusty’s positivity and encouragement for patients to set achievable health goals to improve their wellbeing have made the entire population of the Bruce Peninsula healthier over the years! His diligence in keeping patients on track with their diabetes management, smoking cessation, lifestyle counselling, hypertension and other chronic disease challenges highlights his vast skills and experiences gained over his nursing career.

In the 6 years since Tara joined the FHT in a Nurse Practitioner capacity, she has provided primary care support to thousands of patients. Her gentle manner, her commitment to getting timely results and her collaboration with patients & their families on care plans have made her an indispensable member of the clinic family.

Please join the Peninsula Family Health Team in congratulating Tara & Rusty!
