“Local People Helping Local People”
Submitted by Bruce Peninsula Hospice
Hike for Hospice is a yearly fundraiser for Bruce Peninsula Hospice and an event hosted by local hospices across the country. Local people helping local people is our driving force and once again we need your help. Community participation makes us strong, and we look forward to walking with you on Sunday, June 2nd at 1:00pm.
This year our host community will be Wiarton. We expect a great turnout with at least three hikes to choose from, all leaving from the Wiarton Arena. You can choose from an easy Historical Walk through Wiarton, A Waterfront Walk to the water treatment plant (moderate pace), or a hike to Spirit Rock and the McNeil Mansion for the more hearty hikers.
To get started, just go to our website bphospice.ca and click on Hike for Hospice. You can create a team of your own or join an existing one, collect sponsors, make a donation and join us however you wish. The details are all there. The goal is to raise $35,000 and we know we can achieve that with your support.
Every year we step into the Hike for Hospice fundraising challenge and we are never disappointed due to the enormous efforts of our volunteers, the generosity of our community and the support of our sponsors. This year we thank our sponsors Bruce Power, Middlebro’ & Stevens Wiarton, Ebel Quarries Inc./Polycor Ontario and Mckenzie’s IDA Pharmacy. Donations from these caring organizations have given us a great start on our 2024 campaign.
Please join us on June 2nd and show the world how local people helping local people makes our community strong!
