The Annual Lion’s Head Christmas Parade was held on 2 December at 1 p.m., starting from Bruce Peninsula District School. A police cruiser and four fire trucks lead the parade procession.
There was a Mule-drawn carriage, horses Silver and Oliver from Owen Sound, Parks Canada’s Mascot “Parka”, Friends of the Library with the Bruce County Library Bookmobile, snowmobiles, Lion’s Head’s own little drummer boy Gerry Gregory, Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula float, towed by a pick-up driven by Mayor Milt, with CAO Peggy and Councillors Smokey and Todd distributing candy along the Parade route.

Eating establishments, local businesses, and other local clubs and associations also had entries in the parade.
Since Rudolph and the other reindeer were resting up for their long trek on Christmas eve, Santa enlisted a ‘47 Ford pickup to draw his sled through the streets of Lion’s Head.

Altogether combined for an impressive Parade of over 20 floats to the delight of all the spectators lining the Parade route.
After the parade, Santa stopped in front of the Rotary Hall where everyone got the opportunity to greet him while his helpers handed out gift bags to all the kids. The Friends of The Library also handed a book to each of the kids.
