Restaurant owners from Hepworth & Wiarton are donating 100% of proceeds from sales of Smile Cookies to Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation this spring

 Wiarton, June 8, 2023 – Tim Hortons restaurant owners and millions of generous Canadians across the country combined broke a new Smile Cookie record by raising $19.7 million for more than 600 charities across Canada and in the United States.

This year in Hepworth and Wiarton, local Tim Hortons restaurant owners Jim, Jordie & Michelle Preston and guests helped raise $16,309 to support Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation. The Wiarton and Hepworth Tim Hortons Restaurants have made such a positive and lasting impact on local healthcare through this national fundraising campaign. To date $86,625 has been donated for priority hospital needs for Wiarton & Lion’s Head Hospitals through the Smile Cookie Campaign.

Smile Cookie Campaign Facts

• The first-ever Smile Cookie campaign in 1996 raised funds to support Hamilton Children’s Hospital. Since then, the annual charitable campaign has raised a total of more than $111 million for charities and organizations that are selected every year by Tim Hortons restaurant owners 

• Nationally, Tim Hortons restaurant owners supported over 600 local charities, hospitals and community groups through the Smile Cookie campaign
