Thank you to everyone who comes out to support the various events that the branch holds – you help keep the branch open with your support and encourage ongoing events with your attendance.
Last month there was a spaghetti dinner/hockey game evening. The meal was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Thank you Sean Hurst for cooking. The hockey game itself was entertaining, but alas, was not the victory that many in attendance were hoping for as the Canadiens won 3-2 in OT.
There is another match up between Montreal and Toronto on Saturday, February 18. Sean has decided that the menu will be a bowl of chili, garlic bread and dessert for the fantastic price of $10. All are welcome to come out for either dinner, the game, or both. Wear your jersey to support your team.
Dunks Bay Memorial Restoration
Thank you to the community for your ongoing support of the Dunks Bay Memorial Restoration project. Sanderson’s Monuments have received the names that need to be engraved on the additional stone with plans to install in the spring.
There will be a rededication ceremony on Sunday, June 11 which is also Decoration Day. More information will follow as we get closer to the date.

Upcoming Events
• Meat Draws – every Saturday at 4:30 p.m. All are welcome (ages 19 to 100); try to win a dinner. Cost is $7.00 for 3 draws, plus the bonus draw. Try to become the lucky table for 2023.
• Darts for Fun – every Thursday at 7:30 pm. Cost is $2.00 plus 10 cents to the duck and the duck is hungry. If darts isn’t your thing, come on out and use the pool table or shuffleboard.
• Trivia Night – Friday, February 10 at 7:00 pm. Hugh and Darla Campbell hosting. Come on out and test your general knowledge. Donation to the Foodbank.
• Breakfast – Sunday, February 12, 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Cost is $12/adult; $6/children under 12. Feast on scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, toast, beans, coffee/tea and oj.
• General Membership Meeting – Tuesday, February 14 at 8:00 pm. Come on out to have your say; if we don’t hear from you at this meeting then your issue is a non-issue.
• Chili Dinner/Hockey Game – Saturday, February 18; come on out and watch the Toronto Maple Leafs vs the Montreal Canadiens. There will be dinner starting at 6:30 pm; cost is $10.00. Wear your hockey jersey, eat and cheer on your team.
• Euchre – Friday, February 24 at 7:00 pm. Cost is $5.00. All card sharks are welcome.
• Bingo – Every Monday at 1:00 pm, at the Community Centre. Come on out for a fun afternoon.
