A huge community turnout along with a full contingent of students and teachers from Bruce Peninsula District School (BPDS) swelled the ranks of persons attending the Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph in Lion’s Head on November 11, 2022.
The Honour Roll was read by Richard Smith, President of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #202 Lion’s Head. Dr David Thomson performed the Last Post. BPDS student Aria Thomas recited “In Flanders Fields”.
Wreaths from the Federal, Provincial, County and many local organizations were pre-laid. The first wreath laid during the on-site ceremony was in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll.
