The Peninsula Bruce Trail Club (PBTC) launched a series of 26 hikes called the Peninsula Blue series following the success of recent Peninsula E2E 2022. The Peninsula Blue series will cover all side trails of the Bruce Trail from Wiarton to Tobermory, giving hikers a chance to learn about the peninsula’s diverse geological formations and biodiversity.

Every hike is between 5 and 11 kilometres long, so there is something for everyone. Certified hikers lead the Peninsula Blue hikes. The PBTC hike leaders Les, Marg, Saabir, and Randy have so far led hikes on side trails in Cape Chin, Forty Hills, Barrow Bay, Jones Bluff and Malcolm Bluff areas. You can still take part and count them toward earning your Bear Badge https://www.pbtc.ca/badges .

Research shows that Nature hikes are beneficial not only for our physical but also mental health. Group hikes have the added benefit of building interpersonal connections. Don’t forget to check the calendar https://hikes.brucetrail.org for forthcoming hikes as more hikes are planned throughout the months. We look forward to seeing you on the trails.
