We are back! The men and women of the Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary are proud, pleased and smiling because their GIANT GARAGE SALE is “A GO” for July 9, 2022!
After two years of saving and storing wonderful items donated by the community, it’s time to clean out all of our storage areas, basements and crawl spaces. The arena is sure to be overflowing this year with “must have items”. So, save the date, mark your calendars, put sticky notes on the fridge and get Alexa to remind you of one of the summer’s most attended events.
Here’s the plan:
Donations will be received at the Lion’s Head Arena on Friday, July 8 from 8 a.m. until noon. We would be most pleased to receive your gently loved and still in great shape furniture, dishes, knick knacks, linens, pictures, sporting equipment, tools etc., just drop them off and we will take it from there. Due to Health and Safety regulations we cannot accept: gasoline containers, propane tanks, knives, weapons, mattress, paint, or large appliances.
On Saturday, July 9 at exactly 8 a.m. the doors of the arena will be thrown open and we will welcome one and all.
This event is a fundraiser for our local Hospital and to provide for the health care needs in the area. You simply come to the arena pick up all items that you would love to own and come to Check Out and make an offer as a donation to the Hospital. It works just like the grocery store… oh wait a minute; the Check Out Ladies might try and bargain for a few more dollars, but all for a good cause and fun!
Don’t worry that you are getting up early to be at the arena for the best bargains because the Auxiliary is joining hands with the local Lions Club who will have a wonderful food booth for your enjoyment. Two Charity groups working together on your behalf!
Doors open Saturday, July 9 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again Sunday, July 10 from 10 a.m. to noon. Food Booth will be open on Saturday only, so come out and get a bite to eat while you shop!
