Save The Date – May 21, 2022 – 2:00-4:00pm At The Rotary Hall In Lion’s Head
Submitted by Helen Westover
Covid has kept us from dancing for two years, but we’re back, and happy to be able to offer Country Dancing again, to those who have danced before, and those who would like to give it a try for the first time.
Music will be provided by The Contraband, with Jim Dolmage on the fiddle, Rod Layman on guitar, and Helen Westover on keyboard. One, two or all three of us will supply vocals.
Kristin Farrier, our caller extraordinaire, will be back to lead you through songs and steps that you are familiar with, and probably a lesson to learn a new dance. Look for a line dance or two, as well.
It is our pleasure to announce that she will be joined by fellow caller Bill Russell, who is the President of the Canadian Square Dance Callers Association. Bill is a songwriter and entertainer who has worked with Mariposa in the Schools teaching Ontario children traditional Canadian songs, stories and dances.
Country Dancing will take place on Saturday, May 21st from 2:00-4:00pm at the Rotary Hall in Lion’s Head. Don’t miss out on this great chance to get back with fellow dancers and enjoy the afternoon.
We’ll be looking for you!
