Hellyer’s Foodland in Lion’s Head will be hosting a fundraiser to support The Lion’s Head & District Food Bank and The Bruce Peninsula Family Centre.
The “Quarters for Community” fundraiser will begin on May 1st. As shoppers pay for their purchases they will be asked if they wish to donate a quarter to the Food Bank and Day Care. The proceeds will be split evenly between the two organizations.
Hellyer’s Foodland also participated in their annual Christmas fundraiser for the Food Bank. Money donated at the cash register during the campaign was matched by Sobeys. Kyle and Kara Hellyer presented $1,644.00 in Sobeys/Foodland gift cards to the Food Bank. This donation was used to purchase food items for the Easter hamper project.
All donations are gratefully received and will be used to feed those in our community experiencing food insecurity.
