Fully Funded for 2020/21!

WOW! Thanks to the amazing generosity of our community the BPDS Breakfast Club is fully funded for the 2020/21 year with over $23,000 raised in less than a month! A huge thank you to all who donated. If you were still hoping to make a donation that will support the Breakfast Club, any designated donations will be put towards next year’s program.
But if you want to contribute to another important project, the School Council is now fundraising for Outdoor Classroom Spaces for the Spring. We currently have one beautiful outdoor classroom (see photo) and BPDS Teachers have been teaching outdoors as much as possible due to Covid-19.
Planned projects include:
4 x Temporary Learning Spaces at $600 each for a total of $2400:
· 25 x plastic lawn chairs @ $16 each = $400
· 1 x 8×8 whiteboard = $200
· Classroom sets of individual white boards – being provided by Student Council Funds
1 x Permanent Outdoor Classroom at $2000:
· 12 x 4×4’s @ $16 each = $200
· 500 sq ft of landscape fabric = $200
· 2 cubic yards of mulch to create the floor of the “classroom” = $200
· 12 x 4ft wooden benches @ $100 each = $1200
· 1 x whiteboard = $200
If you wish to donate to the Outdoor Classroom project the process is the same. All donations over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt. The preferred method of donation is by cheque but we certainly won’t turn down cash. If you would like a tax receipt please put your donation in an envelope and write the name and address the receipt should be issued to on the front. You can either mail your donation to: Bruce Peninsula District School, P.O. Box 178, 5 Moore Street, Lion’s Head N0H 1W0 or drop off your donation to the school between the hours of 9:15-2:45 (to not interfere with busses) and ring the doorbell for assistance.
