Dear Editor,
I beg to differ with Dan Beemer in his letter in the 14th issue (2020) of your esteemed publication. Surely a one-time visitor to Tobermory would prefer to have a view of the harbour without being obscured by pine trees? The drive from the south has plenty of them, particularly the straight section of Hwy 6 starting at the boundary of St Edmunds Township, just north of Dyers Bay Rd. I bet he or she is relieved to get past those wall-to wall fir trees. I know I am – my wife too.
Yours sincerely.
Michael Piggott,
Howdenvale
