The Friends of the Lion’s Head Library recently handed out treats to those providing us with important services during Covid-19. Donna Hambleton, on behalf of the Friends, donated butter tarts from Garden in Thyme to employees of the Post Office, the Peninsula Pharmacy, Scott’s Home Hardware and the LCBO.

A gift from the Friends of the Lion’s Head Library to Golden Dawn Senior Citizens Home. Vicki Caudle from Golden Dawn receives the book “What The Earth Already Knows” by local author and artist, Kim McKellar.

The Friends also purchased seven books of photographs and poems entitled “What the earth already knows”, written by local author Kim McKellar. Susanne Smith donated these books to the residents and staff of Golden Dawn. Vicki Caudle, the Activation Manager of Golden Dawn, was happy to receive them.
