Ari Lothstein-Dobbin with her letter asking for donations for Personal Protective Equipment for the Wiarton Hospital.

Big kudos are in order for Ari Lothstein-Dobbin of South Bruce Peninsula! Like most of us, Ari is very concerned about the protection of our frontline healthcare workers during the fight against Covid-19. Unlike most of us, she just celebrated her 8th birthday.

Ari voiced her concerns to her parents Dr. Daniel Lothstein and Cory Dobbin and shared that she wanted to do something about it, starting by donating some of her birthday money to the Wiarton Hospital for Personal Protective Equipment.

Ari wanted to do more though; in fact, she had a goal of raising $100. Ari wrote a compelling letter to her neighbours, friends and family asking them to donate money to the Wiarton Hospital for PPE. The letter also explained that her parents would match what she could raise. Well in no time at all, Ari and her letter raised an impressive $1,420, which her parents generously matched for a total donation of $2,840! Way to go Ari!
