SERVICE – WE ASSIST, NURTURE, SUPPORT

It seems like 2022 was ages ago but this article will update you on our final events from last year.

The 1st Annual Peninsula Swanspiel generated a donation of $800. For the BPDS Nutrition Program. The cheque was presented to BPDS representative, Ms Rice by Swans Treasurer Bev Miller and the Swanspiel Convenors, Katie Reimer-Catteau and Lindsay deMalmanche. The funds will be used toward the Salad Bar Initiative in the upcoming semester.

The Xmas Bazaar on December 3rd was very successful, thanks to all the kind folks that came out to support our Club. The event generated around $2,500 to put back into the Community. Already a portion has been donated to the Bruce Peninsula Hospital Foundation for the new Oncology software. The software will allow local doctors access to oncology records for patients without needing to wait for referral transfer requests and documents.

Our members are set to get back to fundraising in 2023 and many ideas will be discussed at our January meeting, so stay tuned.

As always, we welcome new members and if you are interested in joining, please contact Roberta Mielhausen at 519-793-3555 or 519-793-4110.

On a final note, the Peninsula Swans want to thank you for the support over the past year and wish you an amazing 2023.
