CONSIDERATION OF AGENDA ITEMS
1. Isthmus Bay Road Site Visit (at the bridge over the Swan Lake Drain)
RE: Phase 1 of the Isthmus Bay Road Improvements
Council met at the Swan Lake Bridge to view the proposed Phase 1 of the Isthmus Bay Road Improvements. The Public Works Manager suggested viewing a few locations that were staked. The site tour commenced at the locations known as 191-196 Isthmus Bay Road.
The following was noted:
At location #191, the centre line of the road, gravel shoulder and drainage area were staked out and highlighted with orange spray paint to demonstrate exactly what was being proposed;
Council walked to location #137-139 and Mr. Cameron showed existing stone wall location and centre line of road issues;
In the area of #139, Mr. Cameron indicated this particular area will be the most affected in the Phase I proposal;
the road profile was reviewed and explained by the Public Works Manager at various 911 locations;
areas where the road is currently on private property was viewed;
road encroachment issues near 119-121 were inspected;
Mayor McIver thanked the Public Works Manager for the site tour and advised that Council will be discussing the revised design plans for Phase 1 of the Isthmus Bay Road improvements project at a future Council meeting.
The site tour concluded at 119 Isthmus Bay Road.
