Legion Executive welcomed M.P.P., Bill Walker to the Branch to receive a Provincial Government check for $3995.00, from the Senior Community Grant Program. This grant allowed Branch 202 to organize a very informative and entertaining bus trip for local seniors.

Special thanks go out to Branch Secretary Sharron Coulter for her dedicated effort in pursuing and obtaining this grant.

Bill Walker, in turn, was very complimentary as to the deep involvement that Branch 202 has in the local Community.

Legion 202 held a Grey Cup Party on November 24th, while the attendance was disappointing, the generous support of the attendees helped to increase the funds available for the wheelchair accessible washroom being installed.

Early December saw two new members being inducted into Branch 202, as well as a transfer-in, that has moved into the area.

Membership dues for 2020 are almost already paid, with 90% up-to-date. Please pay before year’s end to avoid the higher fee.

Legion 202 Veteran Services Officer, Nancy Alleyne, wishes to inform Veteran Legion Senior or Seniors that would like a visit, or may need anything to read, or just a visit, she would be pleased to help. She can be contacted as follows: Nancy Alleyne CD, CHIM, Tel: 226-974-2505 or email

As we are coming shortly to the end of 2019, Branch 202 Executive wish to extend Seasons Greetings to ALL in our wonderful community of Lion’s Head and District. Wishing you a HEALTHY and PROSPEROUS 2020.
