Many members of the Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary gathered on the morning of June 8th to set out the plants for the annual 1001 Perennial Plant sale. As the trucks and trailers arrived fully loaded, each person took a tray and placed it in the designated row. Before opening , we were pleased to see that a good crowd was waiting to get first choice. As the day went on, we knew that our work would pay off.
Special thanks go out to our generous community. To those who offer to have their gardens dug and to those who do their own digging, this wouldn’t happen without you. And to those who attend and make a purchase to support the needs of our hospital, you always amaze us with your generosity. This is a community with a spirit that comes from the heart.
The plant sale has always been a success and this year was no exception. Many thanks to the ladies and men who worked through the cold and rain and to all our team for their hard work and dedication.
And to make this day even more special, Mother Nature gave us one of the few days we have seen lately with a blue sky and warm sun. We were thankful for that as well.
