Emergency Preparedness Week (EPW) is a Canada-wide awareness initiative that took place May 5th to May 11th. Throughout Emergency Preparedness Week, the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula focuses on educating our residents on ways to identify, mitigate and respond to emergencies. Everyone has a role to play in being prepared and having this knowledge will help support their families and friends during an emergency.
We were pleased to provide Emergency Preparedness presentations to Mrs. Williamson’s Grade 4 class at Bruce Peninsula District School on May 7th and the Ferndale-Lion’s Head Lions Club on May 8th. Both the students and club members were great participants and enthusiastic to know more about emergencies that could happen in within our municipality.
