Huge Community Support for Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary Cookie Walk

Cookies fill the hall at the LHHA annual Cookie Walk on December 1st.

Once again the Lion’s Head Hospital Auxiliary owes a huge thank you to their members and the community – local and from afar – for the support in making our 6th annual Cookie Walk an awesome success. You baked cookies, you bid on fantastic Silent Auction items (all donated by members and friends), and you came and bought cookies by the dozens. Thanks to Sharon and her crew, the smell of freshly baked bread greeted people as they entered the hall and continued throughout the day. The Santa Claus parade float built by Fred and Nancy and attended by members distributing candies added to the festivities of the day.

All proceeds from this and all LHHA fund raising events go to fund health care for our residents beginning with our local hospital and then the whole of Grey Bruce Health Services. The greatest need presently is the replacement of the MRI machine which is much needed to provide up to date services for all and to which we have recently donated. If you have any questions about where our funds go or you want to join our auxiliary to help in the fund raising – we work hard and have lots of fun doing so – talk to any LHHA member. We meet the first Thursday in each month (with the exception of August and January). I hope you will consider joining us.
