(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Owen Sound resident following a drug-impaired driving investigation.
On September 13, 2026, at approximately 5:00 a.m., members of the Grey Bruce OPP were dispatched to Highway 6 near Caudle Side Road in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula for a report of a single motor vehicle collision.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle had left the roadway and overturned in the ditch. Officers attended the scene and spoke with the lone occupant of the vehicle. As a result of the investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired operation.
The driver did not sustain any injuries.
A 58-year-old resident of Owen Sound, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
-Operation While Impaired – Drugs
-Dangerous Operation
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on October 29, 2026.
A 90‑day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven‑day vehicle impoundment were initiated as required by statute.
The Grey Bruce OPP reminds motorists that drug impairment can significantly affect a driver’s ability to safely operate a vehicle. Drivers who choose to operate a vehicle while impaired place themselves and others at risk.

Theft of Jet Ski and Trailer in Sauble Beach
(SAUBLE BEACH, ON) – The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of a jet ski and trailer in Sauble Beach and is seeking assistance from the public.
On September 5, 2026, members of the Grey Bruce OPP received a report of a stolen jet ski and trailer. The theft occurred between 10:00 p.m. on September 4, 2026, and 11:30 a.m. on September 5, 2026.
The trailer and jet ski were parked on Robert Avenue near Main Street in Sauble Beach at the time of the theft.
The stolen property is described as:
-Trailer: Black single-axle Kara Sea boat trailer. Ontario licence plate: X8862Y.
-Jet Ski: 2023 Black Sea Doo Jet Ski. Registration number: EXPX200.

ATV THEFT IN SAUBLE BEACH
(SAUBLE BEACH, ON) – The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) from a business in Sauble Beach.
On September 5, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Grey Bruce OPP received a report of a stolen ATV. The investigation determined that the theft occurred sometime between 6:00 p.m. on September 4, 2026, and 11:00 a.m. on September 5, 2026.
The stolen vehicle is described as a:
-2022 Polaris Sportsman XP1000: Colour: Black. Ontario Licence Plate: 8YC61.
