The Lion’s Tail Annual Ride raised $2,590 which will go towards supporting the School Breakfast program at five local schools. All of the donations are given to the Ontario Student Nutrition Program of Grey-Bruce for distribution to the five schools. Organizer Dan Cassel was pleased with the generosity of the participants.

On June 20 2026, over 60 motorcycles assembled in front of Rachel’s Restaurant in Lion’s Head. The near perfect weather conditions of sun, not too warm temperatures and low humidity made it a perfect day for a ride along the scenic coastal roads from east to west of the Peninsula, arriving at Sauble Beach mid-afternoon.

Many of the bikers have come year after year to this annual ride, but there were many first time participants, who say they looked forward to exploring the Bruce. Each year Cassel carefully plans the route to include some of the breathtaking sights of the Peninsula.
