Launchpads are available now to borrow from the Lion’s Head Library thanks to the funding provided by the Friends of the Lion’s Head Library (FLHL). In addition to the Launchpads, FLHL also funded the 2026 Scales Nature Park Program at the Lion’s Head Rotary Hall as well as a Magic Show, enjoyed by both the young and old, on August 25 at the Library.

Be sure to check the Lion’s Head Library website library.brucecounty.on.ca/your-library/locations/lion-s-head, for future activities and events.

A “Get to Know the Library” presentation will be held at the Lion’s Head Rotary Hall on Tuesday, November 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This will be a great opportunity for everyone to learn about what is available at the library and what our library has to offer. Light refreshments will be served.

Did you know you can borrow, at no cost, binoculars, fishing poles, board games, puzzles, snowshoes… and so much more? You can also use your library to photocopy, fax, scan documents to emails. The computers and Wifi are free for you to use!

Some of the programs offered in the near future include:

• November 2, 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.: pre-school story-time

• November 20 (P.A. Day), 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Pirates Theme Event where children ages 4-8 will be “mapping out a course to pirate adventure, crafts, and fun”!

Registration is required for these and many of the other programs offered.

Libraries are so much more than rows and rows of books. They are a place to discover, get inspired and are a safe and inclusive place for community members to connect. Be sure to visit your library soon!
