Lori Campbell, guest artist, is an award-winning textile artist crafting felted landscapes and small sculptures of animal life. She upcycles vintage wool blankets, hand dyes them, wet felts, needle felts and often embellishes with embroidery and beads. Lori has shown her work at the A.G.O., the Bruce County Museum, the Deepwater Gallery, the Gallery at L.E. Shore, the Red Schoolhouse Gallery, the Artists Co-op and currently at The Little MAD Gallery. She will soon be featured in the Bruce Trail Association’s 2026 calendar.

Phillip Connolly, Red Schoolhouse Gallery member artist, has spent many years capturing the elusive beauty of the Bruce Peninsula through encaustic wax on handcrafted art blocks. His work is a dance between the image and the unpredictable nature of wax, where landscapes, trees and animals appear as if summoned from mist. The process is equal parts science and serendipity – layers of colour and texture are built up, like nature itself, messy but always interesting. Phillip’s art is a love letter to the Peninsula’s wild charm, where light changes faster than you can say “weather warning”, with abundant rugged beauty on display.

During July and August, the Red Schoolhouse Gallery is open every Thursday to Monday from 11am to 5pm.
