Urgent outreach to the community – The Meeting Place (TMP) has one month to find a summer student to fill our recreation position at TMP. It’s a great job working with our E-Bike business and lots of outdoor activities supporting community recreation activities for you. If you know of a student between 15 – 30, currently in an education program, we’d like to hear from them. Competitive wages at 30 hours per week. Call 519-596-1916 or email a letter of interest to info@tobermorymeetingplace.com

Spaces are available for Tuesday, June 24, 1-3:30 pm for a ‘bike and hike’ themed outing with a guide from the National Park and one of our volunteers to support the tour. Call TMP at 519-596-2313 or email info@tobermorymeetingplace.com to preregister. Cost is at 50% discount – $18.00
TMP has just distributed new E-Bike Rentals rack cards to the Information Centre Chamber outlets and most motels, hotels and campgrounds. If you would like a package for your business, please drop into TMP on Tuesdays or Thursday. If you are a business and would like to try a new advertising approach, we have advertising slots on every E-Bike and can customize an ad for you. It’s pretty popular in tourist regions in Europe. Give us a call. Look for our new logo on social media.
Community Gardens and Learning Gardens are busy with spring clean-up and planting at the Community Park next to TMP at 20 Centennial Drive Tobermory. The Community Gardens have attracted new gardeners and families this spring. There are still a few of the smaller learning gardens open if anyone is interested, just call TMP (see attached photo). It’s time to plant! We grow food!
“Supporting our Community Together” campaign continues. TMP is doing our part to raise funds; individual donations to The Meeting Place to support our programs and services are welcomed.
