Call to Order and Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest and the General Nature Thereof
Mayor McIver called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. and Council members were reminded to disclose any pecuniary interest and the general nature thereof that may arise during the meeting.

Consideration of Agenda Items
1. Draft New Bruce County Official Plan Review – Ron Davidson from Ron Davidson Land Use Planning Consultant Inc.
Planning Consultant, Ron Davidson, appeared in person at the October 22, 2024, Special Council Meeting.
Discussion ensued surrounding the Draft Bruce County Official Plan as it pertains to the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.
It was noted that following the October 22, 2024, Special Council Meeting, a staff report will be included on the October 28, 2024, Council meeting. Following Council approval, the report will be forwarded to the Bruce County Economic Development and Planning Department.
Council requested further information on the following topics;
· Development restrictions in core areas
· Resource list for sources utilized to create the map
· Rationale for rezoning agricultural land as rural
· Difference between a key feature and a core area
· More information on supporting features and key features
· Fire risk areas
· Inaccuracy of Fathom Five National Marine Park Boundary
· Impact of Draft Official Plan on Water and Wastewater servicing.
· What proposed changes are required by the Province and what are not
Mayor McIver thanked Ron Davidson for attending the Special Council Meeting.
Members of Council provided their comments to the CAO surrounding the capacity of land owners to complete severances in accordance with the Draft Bruce County Official Plan.
