Several Legion executive members attended a Leadership and Development seminar at the Owen Sound Legion Branch 06 on Sunday June 2, 2024. There is always lots to learn about a volunteer position.

The newly elected executive met on Thursday June 6 at 6:00 p.m. The membership meeting was held at 6:30 p.m. The meetings will be in the evenings in July, August, September and October. All members are invited to attend to discuss items that are important to the health and wellbeing of veterans, their families and their communities. Many members volunteer on committees to help with the work of the Legion. Not a member? Then think about joining online or through the application process with Chris Mawdsley, Membership Chair. Chris’ contact information is call by phone 266-668-4540 or e-mail to branch202membership@gmail.com.

We welcome the warmer sunny days. Corn Hole will be played outside on Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. The fee is $2.00. It is a rain or shine event. If it is rainy, darts will be played inside. Remember to bring your own darts.

Some upcoming events at the Legion are the Country Roast Beef Dinner on Tuesday July 9th 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and the Fish Dinner on Tuesday August 13th 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Mark these dates on your calendar. To purchase tickets for the Country Roast Beef Dinner on July 9th, call Don or Sharron Colter at 519-793-3473. Tickets are $25.00 each.
