Sources of Knowledge (SOK) would like to extend an invitation to participate in two exciting upcoming events.

1. SOK Talk & Peninsula Bruce Trail Club: Blazing New Trails in Sustainable Tourism

Date: Thursday, April 4, 2023

Time: 7:00pm

Location: Parks Canada Visitor Centre, Tobermory, ON 

Join us for a FREE SOK Talk presentation where the Peninsula Bruce Trail Club shares its journey towards sustainable trail management. Discover how collaborative efforts have led to effective solutions and future plans for the sustainable enjoyment of the Bruce Trail. This event is an excellent opportunity to learn, engage, and contribute to the conservation of our natural landscapes.

2. Annual SOK Forum: A Sustainable Tourism Future for the Saugeen Peninsula

Date: May 3-5, 2024

Location: Tobermory, ON (Parks Canada Visitor Center & Tobermory Community Center)

Save the dates for our upcoming forum dedicated to exploring sustainable tourism initiatives on the Saugeen Peninsula. Engage in enlightening discussions, pre-Forum activities, and talks by esteemed organizations. 

Key highlights include presentations by NEST and Longwoods International, along with a special guest speaker, Tony Pigott, Executive Director of “DEEPTIME: The Georgian Bay Aspiring Geopark”. Moreover, Sunday morning will feature community involvement sessions which is free for locals. This session will provide a platform for local actors and organizations to share their perspectives and initiatives. We seek to foster collaboration and innovation in shaping a greener, more responsible tourism industry on the Saugeen Peninsula.
