The long-awaited build of the covered pavilion in the Tobermory Community Park (next to The Meeting Place) will be underway this season. The Community Park has been volunteer-built by groups facilitated by The Meeting Place (TMP). We, at TMP are excited to continue building upon the park and add infrastructure for everyone in the community to use.
We are happy to see people using this vibrant space to connect with one another and the outdoors. That said, as a public space, the Community Park is vulnerable to theft and vandalism and unfortunately we have experienced some theft already this season.
We are asking everyone who uses the Community Park to keep an eye on the recreation space and facilities to make sure the park is treated with respect. If you have any concerns, please report them to MNBP Facilities Supervisor, Bob Hofstrand who can be reached at 519-596-1226.
